Ramblings about entertainment, lifestyle and travel
We’ve had our first few days of sunshine in the last few weeks and with that come the various pop-ups that make summers in London what they are.
From this Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd May, Gin Mare, the handcrafted Mediterranean Gin, is opening its very own escape from the city at one of London’s top drink spots, The Hoxton, Shoreditch. The Hoxton’s popular alfresco courtyard will be transformed into ‘The Gin Mare Mediterranean Garden’.
Inspired by Gin Mare’s unique savoury botanical ingredients and the inspirational Mediterranean heritage, the pop-up experience will allow discerning drinkers to creatively explore these unique tastes, smells and textures, resulting in a perfect summer destination.
The Gin Mare Mediterranean Garden promises a place to escape the city, relax in the Mediterranean vibes and enjoy the ultimate Gin & Tonic. I have to admit G&Ts aren’t my favourite drinks, I have, however, grown to like gin based drinks as there’s so much you can do with gin.
Lucky for me, guests to Gin Mare’s Mediterranean Garden can enjoy an exclusive range of cocktails with a twist. The bar will serve a contemporary take on the much-loved G&T, the Hixter G&T, served with a wedge of succulent mango and a grind of black pepper – something that might actually make me love G&Ts. Alongside an Onion Gimlet containing Parmegiano Reggiano cheese cordial and finally a twist on the ultra smooth classic Perfect Martini.
The Gin Mare Mediterranean Garden will also allow guests to explore the intricacies of the unique savoury botanicals, and Mare’s premium Mediterranean spirit, through masterclasses lead by Gin Mare’s Global Brand Ambassador Jorge Balbontin at specific times.
The pop-up is open from 7pm every day from Tuesday 19th – Friday 22nd May at The Hoxton Hotel, 81 Great Eastern St, EC2A 3HU.
So head on down and I might even see you there.
